Neuer Job gefällig? Wie wär’s mit Bruce Sterling als Vorgesetztem? Die Creative Commons suchen nämlich seit heute einen Executive Director für die neue gegründete Abteilung CC Learn.

Die Beschreibung der Tätigkeit klingt in der Tat mehr als spannend – wer bereits in LA verweilt oder sowieso dort hinziehen möchte, Interesse am Thema Open Content und Public Licensing hat, der sollte sich schnellstens um ein Vorstellungsgespräch bemühen:

Creative Commons is seeking an Executive Director for CC Learn, a new division that will focus on education, broadly defined – from kindergarten to graduate school, to lifelong learning. The mission of this new division will be to promote vigorous networks of Open Educational Resources: materials offered freely and openly for educators, students and self-learners to use, modify and re-use for teaching, learning and research. This new entity, provisionally titled CC Learn, will have as one of its main aims the promotion of interoperability among existing open repositories and portals. By interoperability, we mean removing the barriers – whether from incompatible licenses, technologies or site design – that make it hard to combine, experiment with, and modify the wealth of open educational resources that already exist. Our goals are to promote the virtuous cycle of use, experimentation, and reuse, to draw more educators and students into the community of open educational resources, and to increase public awareness of the value of those resources.
